to visit Antelope Canyon?
If I had to choose one, I would choose to visit Lower Antelope Canyon. It is cheaper, brighter, a little less crowded and in my opinion more beautiful than its big brother.
The months between April and September are the best to visit the canyon. It is necessary to privilege the time slots between 11am and 2pm, when the sun, at its highest, illuminates the interior of the canyon. The light must be vertical to penetrate it.

The visit of the 2 canyons is necessarily guided. For Upper Antelope Canyon, the 4x4 trips and the canyon tour itself will take a total of 2 hours. The visit to Lower Antelope Canyon also lasts approximately 2 hours. The entrance to the canyon is right next to the entrance gate.
The canyon is made of sandstone (Navajo sandstone more precisely). It was formed by erosion, flash floods and rain. The places have eroded over time, giving way to a long, narrow and deep corridor with smooth walls and original and magnificent shapes. The walls of the upper canyon (Upper) can reach more than 35 meters in height.
